Following his public apology to wife Sandra Bullock and his three children, Jesse James is said to be working on fixing his shattered family.
The 40-year-old biker, who allegedly carried on an 11-month affair with tattoo model Michelle (Bombshell) McGee, is struggling to cope with the scandal he admits to creating, People.com reports.
“He would certainly love for this somehow to go away and that somehow things can be rectified and put back together,” his friend told the mag. “The one thing that’s most important to him in the whole wide world is that his family comes back together. He will do whatever that takes.
The “Blind Side” actress reportedly moved out of the family home and has remained in seclusion since reports of the alleged affair broke March 17.
According to X17, Bullock had a tearful evening Monday night when she was joined by family and friends for dinner at an undisclosed location.
“Sandy broke down at one point but she came right back,” a source said. “She is talking about her next move. So sad and tragic. She is talking a lot about emails the kids are sending to her. It’s really emotional here right now.”
Emotions may soon skyrocket as the new issue of Us Weekly reports that James had multiple affairs with other women besides McGee.
“This is just the first person who has gone public,” an insider said.
In fact, the biker boy’s infidelity has been an open secret among employees at his West Coast Choppers bike shop in Long Beach, Calif.
James would reportedly post Internet ads looking for “hot, tattooed biker chicks with big boobs,” the same tactic that McGee had said lured her to the shop.
Added another source, “He sees their photos, answers the ads and invites the girls to his office.”
“This is not an isolated incident. When Sandra is away, he gets bored.”
